The Big Alaska 7/6 Experience the Alaska Range from West to East & North to South. Round trip approx. 1250 miles.
Day 1: 0 Miles Upon your arrival in Anchorage you will realize that you have made a great decision for your vacation. You will begin to relax as your Alaskan Guide Team will get you acquainted with your rental motorcycle (if needed) and into your first nights lodging as we prepare for our welcome dinner. At the dinner you’ll have the chance to meet the others that you will be riding with for the next few days. Chances are high that you will make new friends today, that you may have for a lifetime!
Day 2: 250 Miles The next morning after a great breakfast we head out on one of the most scenic highways in North America as we work our way towards Homer Alaska. Today is a day’s ride filled with breathtaking views such as riding beside the Chickaloon Bay as you have the Chugach Mountains for your backdrop. The end of this day is finished with a great dinner, stimulating conversation and a reflection of the day’s ride.
Day 3: 270 Miles After a great night’s sleep we have to say goodbye to Homer Alaska as we ride further north. Along the way we will have many scenic pull offs for pictures and side roads so that we can experience the Glaciers up close and in person!
Day 4: 200 Miles Today is the day that some have waited for their entire LIFE! Today we ride into the Denali National Park as well as experience up close Mount McKinley’s artistic community. There is so much to see and a lot of time to enjoy the views.
Day 5: 250 Miles This is the last day of our north bound travel as we will arrive in the historical city of Fairbanks Alaska. As we ride across the Alaskan Range on the west side through Broad pass you will see sights that few have ever seen before. Your guide team will tell you about the local folk lore as well as the history of the area. A great dinner still awaits you tonight in Fairbanks Alaska! Spend a large part of today exploring Fairbanks and ride to Chena Hot Springs, a private resort offering indoor and outdoor natural mineral hot springs pools and the Aurora Ice Museum, the world’s only year-round ice museum and ice bar. Today is an easy day of riding and you can stay with the group or ride more if you like. Your guide team will be there for any and all knowledge you could want.
Day 6: 250 Miles We get back on the road today for a day of some of the most incredible sites in the world. As we Cross the Alaska Range on the east side at Isabel Pass. You will experience some of the most inspiring views of the Alaska Range. You will get immersed in the Alpine Tundra and the Delta River. This is another day that you will talk about for a lifetime. The Dinner conversation tonight is always a great one as everyone saw different things because the views are truly overwhelming.
Day 7: 180 Miles Our last morning together some people will have a feeling of the end but don’t let it be we have a great day for you today! As we ride back towards Anchorage, and down National Forest Scenic Byway. We will make a stop at Matanuska Glacier, take the opportunity to enjoy the Mountain views, sparkling lakes and rugged beauty before arriving back in Anchorage for our farewell Dinner. You have now experienced “The Big Alaska” as a local.
